What is a health coach?
Are you wondering what this girl is on about with all this ‘health coaching’ business?
Well, here is a little information for you to ponder on and maybe share with your friends who might need it most.
I am a holistic health coach…. and what exactly is that you ask?
Firstly, HOLISTIC HEALTH is all about looking at health from every angle - not just the ‘treat the symptoms’ angle. It is about looking at root causes for illness whether it be physically, mentally or emotionally. In order to balance diet and lifestyles we treat each individual’s needs differently because we know that life is not about a ‘one size fits all’ approach.
COACHING is about motivating, guiding and encouraging YOU to be the best you can be and to help you implement healthier lifestyle routines to bring about your own version of optimal health and happiness as a whole.
A health coach is NOT a nutritionist, dietician, counsellor, naturopath etc. I do not hand out strict diet plans, sell supplements or give you lists of things you should and shouldn’t do.
As the owner of Healthy and Whole, I want to help my clients be healthy, have energy, live passionately and soulfully, be happy, stay motivated and be strong. In this modern day of social media comparisonitis, increased mental illness, rapidly rising rates of lifestyle related disease (diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol - and the list goes on) it is crucial that we all have the support we need to take control of our own health. We need to be able to ask questions and take action to make better lifestyle choices so that we can do life being our most healthy and whole self.
I have personally experienced my own health issues and definitely found a lack of support and readily available information out there. Therefore - I know first-hand, the frustrations of wanting answers and getting none, making lifestyle changes and wondering if you are doing the right thing and feeling alone in going against the mainstream approach to health, I GET IT! So, whether your goals are to lose weight, control anxiety, learn more about clean eating, get your gut and digestion on track, learn more about yourself and personal growth or whatever it maybe, I am here to help!
